Tinder Allegedly tinkering with Initial video content

Tinder seemingly has a story to tell, however, it is not a love story, not this time. The cellular dating program is experimenting with all original scripted video articles also has just wrapped up filming its very first TV show, Reuters reports. )

The series centers around an”apocalyptic” narrative, but there’s a connection subplot, a source tells the news agency. Tinder declined to comment but advised Reuters the show is the first step toward something bigger the business intends to show in the not too distant future. The creation is allegedly Tinder’s first attempt toward creating an internet platform for scripted content.

Offering first programming has become an ever more common method to attract and keep customers. Walmart is allegedly creating a subscription video system to go up from Netflix and also e-commerce rival Amazon. Airbnb can be thought to be functioning to go into the original content enterprise.

But producing initial content to lure new clients can be hard. In 2015, Tinder created a couple of high profile hires to reinforce a job to make original content called Snapchat Channel, but the campaign had been shuttered just a few months later. A year before, Microsoft left its initial content ambitions as it declared the closure of its 2-year-old Xbox Entertainment Studios, the studio responsible for attracting initial video programming into this Xbox gaming platform.
