how to watch the livestream

After weeks of feverish leaks and mounting speculation, OnePlus will finally lift the lid on its 2017 ‘flagship killer’ at an all-singing, all-dancing launch event later today (20th June). And you can the watch the whole thing live online.

The livestream of the OnePlus 5 showcase starts 5pm UK time. It’ll be airing on OnePlus site. Or you can head to the phone-maker’s YouTube channel.

So what can we expect from the latest handset from the OnePlus stable? Well, we can’t say for sure just yet. But we have a few leads to go on.

Teaser trailers emerging from OnePlus suggest it’ll feature a much better camera than last year’s model that’s especially impressive in low-light conditions. Confirmed to be a dual-lens set-up, it ought to excel at depth-of-field shots too.

A cryptic image released into the web ether by OnePlus indicates this year’s model will be super-svelte and compact too. So much so, it seems, that it’s not even visible beneath the OnePlus 3T in the photo.

It’s also likely to feature a fresh version of OnePlus’ exclusive OxygenOS software, possibly with some additional features, as well as the handset-manufacturer’s best-in-class Dash Charge technology.
