Galaxy S8 Bluetooth fix available in ‘coming weeks’

A software update aimed at fixing the Galaxy S8’s Bluetooth connectivity issues should be rolled out in the UK in ‘the coming weeks’, reports suggest.

Samsung has already released the patch for the phone’s connectivity problems in the United Arab Emirates and is set to make it available in ‘larger markets’ soon.

It comes after the company received a string of complaints from users about the inability of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus to connect to external devices via Bluetooth.

A long thread on Samsung’s official discussion boards outlines problems making calls in cars, listening to music via Bluetooth speakers and being unable to hear audio via wireless headphones.

The problem appears to be with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus rather than any third-party hardware.
